The Department of Minnesota VFW officers are excited to announce the first leg of the 100 - year Department of Minnesota Veterans of Foreign Wars celebration tour.
Exact times will come out in email blasts and the General Orders. But here is the "Concept of the Operation”
The celebration will start in the 5th District in Willmar on Thursday June 24.
Outgoing State Commander Curt Hermanson and incoming State Commander Barry Henriksen, along with Sr. Vice Commander Dale Hoogeveen and Jr Vice Commander Dan Meyer will bring greetings and thanks to the 5th District at the home post of past Department Commander Tom Hanson.
Besides dinner and fellowship there will also be Commanders Pins and 100 -year Commander’s Coins. Please join us for a wonderful evening.
On Friday June 25 the road trip heads to the 3rdDistrict in Redwood Falls.
State Jr. Vice Commander Dan Meyer has worked tirelessly for the 3rd District and we have no doubt the District will come out in force for this event.
Saturday June 26 brings the spotlight to the 2ndDistrict.
And what better place for the spotlight than the home post of the incoming State Sr. Vice Commander Dale Hoogeveen.
The two- time recent All -American Post is excited to host the day. Look for lots of fun events.
